This video series will tell an emotional story of someone recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. The goal is to inspire other people to live a fulfilled, joyful, positive life by making changes and managing their health. The series will offer both practical information and helpful tips along with the emotional hook of an authentic, personal story narrative.
Role Info:
Adults with Type 2 diabetes / Male or Female / Ages 40 – 65 / All Ethnicities / $1,500
The series will follow an individual who has been recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. We are casting someone who has not yet dealt with the condition head on, and is in need of some help and support. We are looking for someone who wants to stay strong, healthy and active yet struggle to get adequate nutritional intake.
No acting experience required. Just an outgoing personality, and an interest in sharing your real-life experiences living with type 2 diabetes. We’ll be looking for unique stories of drama and interest, while maintaining the balance of telling a positive, yet emotional story.
The ideal candidate is someone who is….
• Recently diagnosed with diabetes and has begun conversations with their doctor on how best to manage their lifestyle.
• Looking for help and advice when it comes to monitoring their levels, starting and adhering to a new exercise routine, and watching their food intake. The individual feels a little overwhelmed because it is all new and complicated.
• Wanting to be control their diabetes without losing the simple joys in life. It is very important for them to find a balance so that they can regain control of their health and their life.
• Committed to staying strong, healthy and active yet still struggles to get a handle on managing their diabetes
• Dissatisfied with their current diet as it relates to diabetes management. They are looking for a new approach to healthy eating as well as specific ways to manage their blood sugar levels.
• Wanting to minimize blood sugar spikes and simplify the effect diabetes has on their own life.
• Comfortable talking about their diabetes in groups, with friends, and on facebook.

Project Notes:
Rate includes 2 shoot days. You will also be given a camera to shoot home video diary footage you will take yourself. The rate is compensation for the shooting days and a complete release and buyout of images/video in perpetuity for the Web and other promotional use.
