I disagree with your comment about the difficulty of the classical music pieces. If the racers had any serious classical music background, they would clearly recognize both Pictures at an Exhibition and Scheherazade, the first monumental and the second haunting. So then they could experiment to find Tchaikovsky’s Troika, a mush less familiar piece, by trial and error.
