Second Location For Branded Fitness Spa Offers Guests Rigorous Workouts And Delicious Low Calorie Cuisine In Serene Setting

UNIVERSAL CITY, CA – The Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge has opened a new location this week in Malibu, California. The newest Biggest Loser-branded destination resort is located on 160 acres in the Santa Monica Mountain National Recreation Area and becomes the latest addition to the list of The Biggest Loser health and fitness products dedicated to helping people adopt a healthy, “Biggest Loser” lifestyle. The results-oriented program focuses on exercise, healthy nutrition and education, inspired by what the contestants on NBC’s hit weight loss series “The Biggest Loser” experience during their time on the Biggest Loser Ranch.

Guests at The Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge Malibu will be offered a minimum one-week weight loss program led by Fitness Manager John Yohman. The average day will consist of at least six hours of physical exercise, with fitness choices from morning hikes in the Santa Monica Mountains, to swimming to kickboxing. Aerobic activities will include step, toning and ball works, as well as dance and core strengthening classes and are instructed by certified trainers on a rotating fitness schedule. The resort’s Executive Chef and Registered Dietician work together to create a limited calorie meal plan. The resort’s Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Dietician also lead the education series that teaches guests to bring home important lessons acquired at the resort – specifically, how to live a healthier lifestyle.

Guests are also encouraged to relax and pamper themselves in the resort’s full-service salons, with the goal of relieving tension and restoring energy, balance and focus.
