Olde Skool Productions would like to thank you for your interest in our contest.
We are currently looking for bands to take part in our reality show. Of the bands that submit entries, eight will be chosen. Of the eight bands that are chosen all will be featured on the show but only one will be the contest winner.
The style of music for this contest is old school funk and R & B. The contest will be judged by current and former recording artist and will be filmed in front of a live audience.
The contest winner will receive a cash prize, be awarded a recording contract and go on tour in one form or another.
The rules for submission are simple and are as follows.
Contest Rules
(1) All band members must be 18 years of age or older.
(2) Band will be defined as a group of individuals that come together and perform through the use of a combination of musical instruments that may include but are not limited to
(2A) lead guitar
(2B) rhythm guitar
(2C) drums
(2D) bass guitar
(2E) keyboards
(2F) horn section (trumpet, saxophone, trombone, ect.)
(2G) percussion section (timbales, conga’s, ect.)
(3) Bands may include lead and background vocal singers but they may not be the focal point of the band. (no vocal groups or individual performers will be accepted)
(4) Submissions must be in the form of video tape or DVD and must explain why you think your band should be chosen. The video must include a performance by the band.
