The hot summer sensation, So You Think You Can Dance, is back for an all-new season! It’s time to pop, lock and drop in to the hottest original dance show featuring new contestants and the best and worst of auditions. See what happens when dancers skilled in everything from Ballroom and Ballet to Salsa, Jive, Hip-Hop and Krumping all compete to be named America’s favorite dancer.

In Season Five, the judges travelled to New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Denver, Memphis and Seattle in search of America’s favorite dancer. Some of the best and worst dance auditions from the cross-country audition tour can be seen in the two-night, four-hour premiere on Thursday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 27.

Last season’s winner, Joshua Allen, danced off with a $250,000 cash prize and a featured dance role in guest judge Adam Shankman’s upcoming film Step Up 3-D. This year, the competition gets even hotter as a new crop of hopefuls break it down for judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and other guest judges.

“Season 5 is going be our hottest season yet! We crisscrossed the country and discovered some of America’s best dancers. The variety and talent is incredible and there will be lots of surprises,” said SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE judge Mary Murphy.’

Don’t miss the auditions that everyone will be talking about the next day. See who struts into the producers’ hearts and who trips up on the two-hour season premiere of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Thursday, May 21 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (DAN-501/502) (TV-PG D, L)
