MTV IS NOW CASTING ILLINOIS’ AND MICHIGAN’S MOST ENGAGING HIGH SCHOOL TEENS!

Are you the funniest kid you know? Do you crack yourself up, but maybe nobody else is laughing? If you’re the kid who never gets the spotlight, our show could be your chance! We are looking for a group of students from the North Shore and surrounding areas of Chicago, Suburban Detroit and Western Michigan for an awesome new series, ‘MTV’s High School Project’. And humor rules.

Are you a master ‘Mathlete’, a member of the Marching Band, maybe a Chess Club Champion, on the Debate Team, or into Robotics? Does gym class make you nervous or is dating a foreign concept to you? Do you feel like the main characters in “Superbad” are based on you and your friends’ lives? If so, we’ve got your back–and now it’s your time to shine!

This show is a feel-good documentary series where the lovable underdog is our hero! We will give the viewer an insider’s look into the real lives of real kids doing what they do best–living life on their own terms. It’s not about glitz and glamour and the image of celebrity. You don’t have to be the Homecoming Queen or the star Quarterback for your story to be told–if a good game of “World of Warcraft” or a Star Wars convention is your thing, we want to hear about it!

The content of our show will be based solely on the characters that we cast. That said, we need students with many layers to their lives with a lot going on; or, maybe you’ve got nothing going on but have a plan of attack to break out of your shell! We are seeking both male and female cast members–ideally a group of 3 or 4 friends all ‘figuring it out’ together. Potential candidates must meet the following criteria:

- At least 14 years old by July 1, 2009
- Enrolled in High School for the 2009-2010 school year
- Involved in various clubs and activities
- Have interests that may go against popular culture
- You are quirky, funny, interesting or odd
- Personable in your own way

Casting begins immediately and the show begins taping late summer of 2009. We’ll be along for the ride to experience your joys, challenges, dreams and triumphs. This show could be MTV’s next ‘big thing’–if you’d like to be a part of it, let us know!
