POPULAR GAME SHOWS “DEAL OR NO DEAL” AND “1 VS. 100″ TO DEBUT ON GSN, JUNE 1 AND JUNE 6

GSN Will Also Create Original Online “Deal Or No Deal” Game

(SANTA MONICA, California) - May 12, 2009 - GSN announced today that beginning June 1, 2009, it will begin airing the first three seasons of the one-hour network version of the hit game show, DEAL OR NO DEAL, hosted by 2008 Emmy Award nominee Howie Mandel. GSN will also debut the entire series run of 1 VS. 100, hosted by Bob Saget, beginning June 6, 2009. “Deal or No Deal” will air Monday-Friday at 7pm & 11pm ET/8 pm PT. “1 vs. 100″ will air Saturdays at 6pm ET/3pm PT and Sundays at 1pm ET.

In addition, GSN will create an original free online flash game version of Deal or No Deal to complement the show.

DEAL OR NO DEAL is a high-energy international hit game show in which contestants strategically unseal 26 briefcases containing amounts of money ranging from one cent to $1 million. In each round, contestants must guess which briefcases contain the most money while a mysterious entity known only as “The Banker” tempts them by making a cash offer in exchange for what is contained in their briefcase.

DEAL OR NO DEAL star Howie Mandel will host GSN’s THE GAME SHOW AWARDS-the very first awards show exclusively aimed at celebrating excellence in the genre of game shows. The two and a half-hour, star-studded extravaganza will premiere on June 6, 2009, at 8PM ET/7PM CT on GSN, and will honor classic and contemporary game shows, with special tributes to pioneers Bob Barker (”The Price is Right”), legendary game show producer Mark Goodson, and host/producer Monty Hall (”Let’s Make a Deal”).

In 1 VS. 100, one player must correctly answer a series of trivia questions as they try to outlast a “mob” of 100 people. If the player successfully answers every trivia question, he or she eliminates the 100-member “mob” and takes home the $1 million grand prize. However, if the player answers incorrectly, the game is over and “the mob” splits the player’s winnings.

DEAL OR NO DEAL and 1 VS. 100 are produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. The series are executive-produced by Scott St. John. David Goldberg is Chairman of Endemol North America.
