“AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) “Take Me To The Jungle”
TYRA PHOTOGRAPHS THE FINAL FOUR LADIES — The ladies rescue a stranded Tyra Banks on their way to the Brazilian Jungle for this week’s photo shoot. Tyra photographs the final four ladies, who are dressed like exotic birds. At panel, one girls breaks down with emotion and tears (#1211).
Last week the girls meet Paulo Borges, the director of São Paulo Fashion Week before being sent on go-sees throughout the city. Despite a high fashion portfolio, Allison’s runway walk became a major problem while Celia’s age did not sit well with some of the designers. Fo attended all her go-sees but none of the designers booked her. Celia and Fo were disqualified for being late while the rest of the girls flew by helicopter to meet Paulo at the fashion week headquarters. Teyona won the challenge as she was booked by all three of her go-sees and won clothes from each designer.
For the photo shoot, the girls had to pose in a swimsuit while standing out on a crowded beach. Allison was praised for her ability to work on set and get connected with her surroundings and Teyona was noted for her utmost understanding of her angles. Aminat, Celia and Fo struggled to perform.
At panel, Teyona received universal praise both for her stellar photo as well as her modelesque appearance. Both Celia and Fo were called forward as the bottom two; Celia was criticized for looking old in her picture while Fo was unable to mask her lack of height. In the end, Celia’s body of work won the judges over and Fo was eliminated.
