AN OLYMPIC CHALLENGE LEAVES ONE RACER PARALYZED WITH FEAR AND THE TEAM’S FUTURE IN JEOPARDY, WHILE A GRUDGE BETWEEN TWO TEAMS CONTINUES TO LINGER, ON “THE AMAZING RACE,” APRIL 26 ON CBS
“Having a Baby’s Gotta Be Easier Than This” (China) – In an Olympic-themed task in Beijing, Teams swim the same distance that Michael Phelps swam in the 400 meter individual medley, and two Teams continue to hold a grudge against each other, on THE AMAZING RACE 14, Sunday, April 26 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Last week teams went from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) to Guilin, Guangxi, People’s Republic of China. In this leg’s Roadblock, one team member had to direct a cormorant to retrieve ten fish they had thrown in the river. In this Detour, teams must choose between Choreography or Calligraphy. In Choreography, teams had to perform a traditional dance routine. If their dance won the approval of two judges, they would receive their next clue. In Calligraphy, teams had to copy Chinese characters written by a calligrapher at four stations. Once the calligrapher was satisfied with the teams’ calligraphy, he would stamp their paper, and they could proceed to find the next station, which was named in the characters they had just copied. Once they had received all four stamps, they would receive their next clue. In this leg’s Speed Bump, Mark and Michael had to wash and dry two women’s hair before they could resume the Race. At Folded Brocade Mountains, in an unaired task, teams had to climb to the Peak of the Luminous Moon and strike the “Drums of Life” before receiving the clue to the hair salon.
Mark and Michael were the last to arrive and were eliminated.
