IT’S THE KING OF ALL CHALLENGES ON “HELL’S KITCHEN” THURSDAY, APRIL 2, ON FOX

When each team member is responsible for creating a dish made with King Crab, each team must choose the strongest plate to present to Chef Gordon Ramsay. During the dinner service, both teams are given a chance to display creativity and specialty by creating their own menus. However, crippling inconsistencies and team sabotages contribute for a surprising elimination round when “8 Chefs Compete” on HELL’S KITCHEN airing Thursday, April 2 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (HK-509) (TV-14 L)

Last week the challenge was a palate taste test where a member from each team, wearing a blindfold and earphones to dull their senses, must identify different foods by taste. The red team won 8 to 7. The red team was treated to a photo shoot for TV guide magazine in Hell’s Kitchen while the blue team had to prep both kitchens for the service and prepare lunch and hors d’oeuvres for the red team.

At the service two celebrities were in attendance, Eric McCormack (Will & Grace) and Robert Patrick (Terminator 2 and The Unit). Lacey struggled on the meat station and her whiny attitude forced Chef Ramsay to eliminate her during service. (Just as had been the case with Josh Wahler, Lacey also didn’t get the full elimination sequence of her jacket being hung up on a peg and her photo incinerating; indeed, Chef Ramsay merely threw her jacket aside after the service.) The blue team without Lacey was able to complete service while the red team wasn’t so they won.

LA, Carol, and Andrea were nominated and LA was eliminated.

The 16 HELL’S KITCHEN chefs are:

The Red Team:

Andrea, 30, a line cook from Reading, Pennsylvania
