“Real Housewives” Franchise Continues To Post Record Breaking Numbers
NEW YORK – February 26, 2009 – “The Real Housewives of Orange County’s” fourth season reunion special delivered record numbers this week with 2.2 million total viewers and 1.6 million adults 18-49, making it the highest rated episode in series history. The reunion special increased from the previous week’s finale by 12 percent among total viewers (vs. 2.0 million) and 11 percent among adults 18-49 (vs. 1.4 million). Tuesday night’s special also increased from the show’s season three reunion special (on 1/29/08) by 61 percent among total viewers and 66 percent among adults 18-49.
“The Real Housewives of New York City” continues its ratings momentum, earning double-digit increases across all key demos with 1.41 million adults 18-49 and 1.86 million total viewers tuning in, up 15 percent and 13 percent respectively from the season two premiere. The episode marked a series high among adults 18-49 and total viewers, and also earned the No. 1 spot among all cable networks in its timeslot for women 18-49. Through two episodes, “The Real Housewives of New York City” is up a remarkable 117 percent among adults 18-49 (1.32 million vs. 609,000) and 113 percent among total viewers (1.75 million vs. 824,000) versus season one.
