If this is their standard of education, I then ask: Doesn't the state of California issue some state standardized testing for home schooled kids? Isn't it neccessary to be following some sort of mandated curriculum. Lots of states require both. If not I am glad I do not live there. If they do then why aren't these parents being charged with educational neglect? Homeschooling can work if all family members are invested in making it so. This mother was made to appear she hadn't researched a thing she was teaching. The kids appeared as fools, the 11 yr old wrote like a kindergartener and the father ... who knows what!
